[the look he offers her after he busted out that rare smile drop is an awfully empathetic one. time travel has a way of setting an entire dinner table's worth of spinning plates on your nose, doesn't it? even when it's just one loop that keeps repeating itself — even when you aren't the person actually reaching over with a hand and bumping the plates, maintaining their momentum.]

[Dave would never hold losing track of time against someone. it's obnoxious enough trying to understand it even when you're literally designed to, so the effort Sayori's gone to here is more than appreciated. it means a lot to him.]
